3 ways Bloggers Use AI to Write Faster and Smarter

All the industries have been impacted by the growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Using AI in writing is one of the simplest yet most in-demand use cases. Naturally the blogging industry was completely transformed.
Over 80% of bloggers use AI in their blog (Wix, 2025).
Bloggers use AI to write faster, smarter, and with less effort. It saves time, energy, and money.
How Bloggers Use AI to Write Faster and Smarter? Should you use AI in blogging?
I’ve been using AI myself and understand it’s not just a question of whether you should use AI or not in a blog.
Before answering you must first explore the different ways to use AI to write blog posts. The process in the background is complex and different for every blogger.
There are methods that a blogger might like more than others.
Don’t worry I’m here to reveal it to you. There are 3 main methods bloggers use to write with AI.
It’s not some theoretical non-tested ideas… this is from my own experience and what I saw other bloggers doing.
Here are 3 methods bloggers use to write blog posts with AI:
Method 1: Let AI write the full draft
Method 2: Write your ideas first, then use AI to improve
Method 3: Use AI to generate the outline / Table of content

ToggleMethod 1: Fully AI-Generated Blog Posts
In this method, you give the AI one clear instruction, and it writes the entire blog post for you in one go.
This process often leads beginner bloggers to produce low-quality content and get penalized by Google. But if you can create well-detailed prompts, you can generate a high-quality blog post.
You can use free AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude AI.
But there are many paid AI tools that claim to have integrated prompts good enough to write high-quality blog posts, such as Copy.ai, Jasper, Scalenut, Koala Writer, Writesonic, Frase, RightBlogger and Surfer SEO.
They will only need minimal instructions like the blog title, tone, target audience, etc.
So far I’m not satisfied with their output.
For me, a high-quality blog post is a blog post that demonstrates EEAT (experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness) like Google asks.
I strongly believe posting a blog post 100% generated by AI is a BAD MOVE.
You must take time to edit it manually and add your unique human touch.
If you use this method, always do heavy editing after the AI finishes generating the blog post.
✅Pros:
• It’s super fast and saves a lot of time
• Good for getting started when you don’t know what to say
• Good for writing about something you know nothing about
• Makes it easy to post high volume of content in a short period
⚠️Cons:
o It often sounds too generic or robotic. People and search engines don’t like this
o It’s not a unique blog post because it’s just a mix of information from the internet
o It lacks your personal voice
o May miss key points or go off-topic
o SEO may be weak
o Most of the time without heavy editing and fact-checking it will be low-quality content
Method 2: Write your ideas first, then use AI to improve (Human Writing + AI Editing)
This method is about writing your entire blog post yourself — from the introduction to the conclusion.
Afterward, you use AI to improve it by doing proofreading, making sentences clearer, suggesting better word choices or adding complementary ideas.
Proofreading means checking your writing for small mistakes like spelling, grammar, or punctuation before publishing or sharing it.
You can use AI tools like Grammarly, ChatGPT, Wordtune or Quillbot.
✅Pros:
• It preserves your unique voice and ideas.
• It’s more likely to meet the E-E-A-T standard.
• You have full control over the content and its direction.
• Your audience and search engines will like this output which feels very natural.
⚠️Cons:
o It takes a lot of time and energy.
o It could feel like extra work to blend both human and AI-generated content.
o It requires editing to ensure AI-generated parts fit with your natural writing.
Method 3: Use AI to generate the outline / Table of content (AI-Generated Structure + Human Writing)
This method means you let an AI tool create the main points of your blog post then you must write the full content yourself using your own words.
If you feel stuck you can still use AI to get ideas but limit its usage and complete each section on your own. That keeps your writing human, unique, and of good quality. That’s what we are looking for.
To summarize, AI generates the structure of your blog post and you fill in the details yourself.
I used this method to write this blog post. This was the prompt:
“Give me a blog post outline on how bloggers use AI for writing. Use simple words, be clear, and include a title, an introduction, main methods, extra tips, and a brief conclusion. Under each headline, give concise guidance on what to elaborate on in that section.”
ChatGPT suggested 6 methods; I already had 3 of them in mind. The others weren’t useful.
It also gave advice on how to develop each section. It recommended adding pros and cons sections which I hadn’t considered.
So if you want to use this method of writing blog posts with AI, you must have a solid knowledge of what you want to talk about.
✅Pros:
• It gives a clear structure for the post.
• It helps organize thoughts and ideas effectively.
• It speeds up the planning process.
• Your unique voice is visible.
• Your content sounds human and you don’t need to humanize it afterward.
⚠️Cons:
o It lacks depth or creativity.
o It needs you to invest a lot of time to complete each section.
o It might not always align perfectly with your vision or audience.
o It needs tweaking to ensure it covers all important points.
Hybrid Approach
This hybrid method is when you combine several of the previous methods.
For example if you combine Method 1 (Let AI Write the Full Draft) and Method 3 (Write Your Ideas First, Then Use AI to Improve), you will get sections fully written with AI and sections you wrote yourself.
Bloggers use AI for idea generation, keyword research, title creation, content repurposing, image generation and many other things.

Extra Tips for Bloggers Using AI

- Always use AI detectors and make sure more than 50% of your content is marked as human.
Be consistent in your writing style. If your blog posts have very different styles that’s not good.
Keep in mind that AI is your assistant not your replacement. You are the captain of your ship and you decide how your blog will look.
No matter the method you use, AI tools and their creators are not responsible for what you post.
So use AI ethically and respect Google’s policy about AI-generated content.Create an AI content Disclosure page, transparency in the use of AI is essential.
How I Use AI Before, During and After Writing a Blog Post
- I search for a problem to solve, do keyword research, and see what people are looking for and writing about.
- At the beginning I use Microsoft Word as my editor.
- I use one of the 3 methods.
- I add the result in ChatGPT to correct grammar mistakes (be careful not to change the writing style).
- I check everything with an AI content detector to verify the percentage.
- I add the result in Notion.
- I do the formatting: H1, H2, H3, bold, italic.
- I separate paragraphs to get my preferred length.
- I do interlinking to my old content.
- I insert images, videos, tables or graphs.
- Finally I publish.
This step-by-step process is my personal way of using artificial intelligence in blogging.
When you break things down in detail like this from A to Z you’ll see that every blogger develops their own unique workflow.
You can take inspiration from this but do what feels most comfortable to you.
My golden advice is to KEEP IT SIMPLE!
